AAJ Damages Seminar with David Ball
For many trial lawyers, translating a case of injury into a case for damages is the most difficult part of the trial. Today's climate makes this especially difficult because of public hostility towards trial lawyers and personal injury lawsuits. More than ever before, jurors need to know their verdict will make a meaningful difference in an injured person's life. This seminar will provide meaningful insight into how jurors view damages and shape what they see by effectively articulating various reasons for a just award into every phase of trial.
Leading the discussion will be David Ball, Ph. D., trial consultant, and author of David Ball on Damages: A Plaintiff's Attorney's Guide for Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Cases, and David Ball on Damages: The Essential Update. Dr. Ball is a nationally known jury consultant and trial skills trainer, and is a leading authority on adapting audience persuasion techniques from theater and film to in-court use. Dr. Ball will be joined by a faculty of highly experienced trial lawyers who, through their demonstrations, will help you prepare to reach, persuade, and to empower jurors to do the right thing.
